The crash occurred just before 11:05 a.m. near Church St. and Lehigh St. in Bloomsbury, Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice.
The rider was found “conscious and alert” but had suffered other injuries as the Bloomsbury Hose Co. responded, prompting a request for a medical helicopter.
The Pattenburg Rescue Squad assisted in setting up a landing zone for Atlantic Air 1 in Tuxhorn Park.
The rider was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Curry said.
